Personal Statement

About me

I serve as an instructional designer for faculty at all Seattle Colleges. I am physically located at Central and teach Trauma-Informed Early Childhood Education at North Seattle College.

  • My areas of expertise: student-centered pedagogies, trauma-informed curriculum design, culturally sustaining practices, and accessibility. 
  • My academic background: feminist studies, indigenous literature, media literacy, and black cinema. 
  • What I enjoy about working with faculty: tackling pedagogical questions in a collaborative way and making discoveries together. My passion is to create equitable, empowering learning environments that engage students. 
  • What I'm currently learning: gamification in education, AI
