Personal Statement
I've been teaching English at North since 1998. I love the diversity of the students and the wonderful people I get to meet each quarter. I primarily teach developmental English, composition, and advanced grammar. I hope to show my students that language is a powerful tool, and that reading and writing can be fascinating, fun, and useful.
I grew up in Seattle and graduated from Franklin High School. I got my Bachelor's degree in English from Western Washington University and my Master's in English with an emphasis in Composition and Rhetoric from New Mexico State University.
