Personal Statement

I've worked in community college libraries since 2004. My contributions have included website redesigns, online course development, launching chat and email reference services and creation of video tutorials.  I've played a leadership role in fostering awareness and adoption of open educational resources, training and presenting locally, statewide and regionally on the topic.

Prior to librarianship, I held several government and non-profit positions in housing, human services and community development.  I was a municipal project manager, an affordable housing lender, a human services coordinator and a community organizer.  I earned degrees from the University of Washington and Brandeis University.
